So I wrote this up last year (with input from a couple other people around the lab), but it's never actually been done. Now, I'm more or less against drinking on the job, but, you know, a lot of us are leaving soon...

Anyways, I present to you: The Annoying User Drinking Game! Post other ideas in the comments section if you'd like.

(P1 version)
* 1 drink for checking out a laptop just to use the ethernet cable
* 1 drink if they try to print without having run the authentication client
- add 1 drink if they don't speak english
* 1 drink if they talk on their cell phones while waiting in line
- add 1 drink if they don't pay attention when you tell them to stop
- add 5 drinks if they're talking to someone else on their phone who's in the same line
- add 1 drink if they're persian
* 2 drinks if a user checks out a laptop and then changes their mind immediately after
* 1 drink if a user reports something as broken which definitely works (ie the internet, usb ports, the mouse, etc)
- add 1 drink if "my internet doesn't work"

(Main Lab version)
* 1 drink if a user is talking a cell phone
- add 1 drink if they're trying to conceal it
- add 2 more drinks if they're being extreme about concealing it (ie under the desk, in a window, etc)
- add 1 drink if they're "just checking their voicemail"
- add 1 more drink if they proceed to give you shit about checking their voicemail
- add 1 drink if they're on their phone in Sal's office
* 1 drink if a user wants you to be tech support for a site on the internet
- add 1 drink if it's an email site
* 1 drink if a user asks you where to put a floppy disk
- add 3 drinks if their floppy disk is already stuck in the zip drive
* 1 drink if a user takes their printout and leave their coversheet
* 1 drink if a user thinks that the low paper status on one tray is affecting their print job
* 2 drinks if a user asks why they have to pay for printing now, claiming "they haven't had to pay for it before"
* 1 drink if a user "has" a print account (read "has" as "does not have")
* 1 drink if there is a Load MBF error
* 1 drink if a Linked PDF file doesn't print
* 1 drink for every time you have to speak to one of our favorite users, just to keep you sane (ie Stand and Shout, the lady who looks like a skeleton, the asian guy who takes off his socks, the lady who wants you to correct her grammar, etc)

Paying it up on clicc outings

Myself, and a few other people at clicc are putting up a lot of extra cash that we don't have to. I know Aiko and Chris consistently puts up at least 10-30 bucks more than they should, and I put up at least 5 bucks more than I should. My number doesn't compare to theirs, but the point is, this shouldn't happen. On top of this happening, Aiko even assumes some people will not pay as much and fork out the extra $10, and still we don't have enough money for the bill. To help those who aren't great at math, here is how things break down.

For every 10 bucks you spend on food, its 83 cents for tax, and its 1.50 for tip. Now, if your meal is 5 bucks, just half it. so it'll be 41 cents for tax and 75 cents for tip. However, its best to just round it up. Say for 10 bucks, think about paying $1 for tax, and $2 for tip. So basically for a $10 meal you should pay 13 bucks at least. This goes off of the cali tax of $8.25% and a tip rate of 15%. If you feel the waitress is awesome, go 20% or 30% if you want.

For example, if you're meal is 34 bucks, that's 10 + 10 + 10 + 4 right? so you have to have this much in tax -> .83 + .83 + .83 + (.83/4), and this much in tip 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 + (1.5/4).

I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but for those of you who under pay, please be considerate of your friends.

Sorry everyone for the reschedule but apparently a lot of the groups complained about scheduling so we have a new schedule but same seeding.

Our first game will still be against AED Bruins at 9:00 on THURSDAY, but get there at 8:30 so we can scout out the two teams that play since the winner will be our competition in the next round. I get the feeling it will be "Spring Broke" because they have won every game 3-0 this quarter and are the #1 seed.

When we win our next game will follow immedeatly after at 9:30 so let's beat AED bruins fast and save our energy for Spring Broke.

Dodgeball REGULAR season Finale

Hey (Dodge)ballers,
The last game of the regular season is against APhiO this Thursday at 10pm at Wooden. This is the team we intimidated into not showing last time, so hopefully they can muster up the courage to show up this time so we can pwn them (wiith good sportsmanship ) for real. I'll let y'all know what the Playoff Situation is going to be but right now it looks like we're in. There are 4 other undefeated teams right now, of which two are also listed as Mens teams. This means they have guys that compete on the all mens level and they probably add girls and then continue to smash face in CoEd. It will be tough but if we can get everyone out there I'm sure we can make this a Championship season. Make me proud.

About the clicc dinners, we used to have a clicc dinner once a month . . . These dinners that we have involves only 1 thing. MEAT. They are called steak nights and I say we have a steak night, Mortons, Porter House Bistro, Pacific Dinning car (24/7)?

Or anything with a lot of meat, like that brazillian bbq aiko took you guys to, or Mannas.

It has come to my attention that there's a deal going on for regular admission tickets, where you can get a season pass to Magic Mountain for either no extra money, or ridiculously little extra money on top of a regular admission ticket (that you can get HERE from CTO for $35).

So I guess the half-price thing might not be as hot, unless you want to go but, for some reason, don't want a free season pass.

Let me know if anyone wants me to find out about the vouchers anyway, though. I'll be talking to my mom soon anyway.

I'm a counselor for UCLA Unicamp (we've been pestering people for coins on bruinwalk) again this year and to send hundreds of kids up to camp, we need to fundraise until our heads fall off. Sending one kid up to camp for a week costs ~400 dollars and I've made it my personal goal. So please help me send a kid up to camp this summer and contribute if you can. I think both of our teams just tried to pick late night games and thus we get some easy pickin's. From what I've seen of other dodgeball teams and heard through the grapevine, we've been playing the easy teams and there are a few teams that will pose a big challenge. So let's try and use these teams as pwnage practice.
