Shooting some videos

Like Leo said, the end of the year video is coming and we need some good pictures. We also need some good videos too. If anyone think that they have something that they would like to shoot feel free to let me know and I'll bring my video camera in so you can use it. We have had some weird videos in the past. There is one of Sal and Charlie pulling 2 people on those CLICC chairs. It looked like a chariot race! If I'm not available to wait around on you guys to shoot something; here is a list of the people that I'll let hold onto my video camera [Chris Loo, Andre Wong, Josh Tseng]. So if you can get any of them to help you out, that's great!

That time of the week!

yes! yes! yes! thats right! its time to decided where we're going to eat this thursday! Get those ideas out while you can. For those of you that care to know lasts weeks venture to farmers market failed thanks to the best cart shift EVER! however our rather "large group" went to hurry curry to break somebody in. You know who you are, congrats! so get those posts out there and make em good!

hey people,
By popular demand softball will be on Saturday Afternoon so get it together! Don't really know the school or area THAT well but we'll need a place to practice and more importantly some equipment. So go borrow, buy, steal, wait don't steal thats bad, unless its a base thats good! (<-- thats lame) what you need, which is probably just a glove. I'll get some softballs myself. Lets all play ball!

So sitting at the counter browsing through food blogs, I say hi to the guy coming up to ask a question. He's got a Daily Bruin article in his hand, and he shows it to me as he asks:

Him: "Do you know what it's called when you have the three dots?"
Me: "...you mean an ellipsis?"

Ah yes, all part of the job. Ok, so maybe not the weirdest question ever, but that was kind of random. So what's the most oddball question you guys have ever had?

Dodgeball the next two weeks

Our only game this week will be tomorrow on 4/25 at 10pm in Wooden on Collins Court like last Tuesday

That's right you heard me right the Jewish community group. Chances are you're probably excited...so tell me why when I mention a Christian Fraternity team we get worried but when I mention Hillel everyone gets excited to hit Jews with balls?

Next week 5/4 (THURS) will be at 10:30pm at CC and will be a rematch against Delta Sigma Pi
The team we tottaly pwned last tuesday with only 6 people.

We're 2-0 people and we can definitely be 4-0 in the next two weeks.

Ultimate Frisbee

so as most of you may know, i play on UCLA's club ultimate frisbee team. most of you may know what ultimate frisbee is, and some of you may have played it before with your friends, and ALL of you have probably thrown a "frisbee" at the beach with your dad or something. well, in order to raise awareness of the actual sport of ultimate frisbee the UCLA club team (Smaug) worked with the intramural guys and created a league just for ultimate frisbee.

contrary to popular belief, ultimate frisbee is an actual sport (wow) that requires the speed/endurance/physical prowess of any other professional sport, most especially soccer. the club team takes the sport seriously (since it's a real sport and all)

DODGEBALL for this week

Two games we are scheduled for...come to dodge you must.

Both games are at 10pm.

Tuesday: Delta Sigma Pi at Collins Court at the Wooden Center (need Bruincard to get in)
Thursday: AphiO at the SAC where we normally play

I'm guessing both Frat/Sorotiy combos so be on your toes...we saw what happened last time.
FYI* the rest of the games this quarter should be in Collins Court so be sure and go to the right place.

the plan for tommorrow

so heres the deal for tommorrow. Since there is the usual fare of people who can go at 6 and who can go at 8, we will be having dinner at 6, then heading off for dessert at 8.

for dinner there is a group going to Norms and a group going to Fatburger

and we will be heading to beard papa in hollywood for dessert.

so... if you can go at any of these times, post a comment on the post about which place you would like to go to and if you'll need a ride there.

And Josh read the blog very late at night counting many an "aye" to the thursday nights and said "Oh lord, bless this thy thursday nights fooding that it may bring many a smiles to those that attend. And thus it was decided that Thursday shall be the chosen day in our weekly search of victuals. All opposed to thursday, it being the day chosen for weekly search of vicuals, complain or comment in the comment section of this posting, it being the place where comments are posted and complaints being complained. And instructions were given to all those that read the blog. First, thou shalt report a location for feasting! Second, thou shalt dicuss and decided upon a location. Third, thou shalt write if thou art in grave need of transport or can give transport (my wooden badger usually fits 4) and FINALLY thou shalt feast! Some of us figure this would be an easier way of coordinating thursday/wednesday night dinners and other excursions we plan to embark on as a group. So if you have any ideas on where to go, some cool restaurant your friends told you about, or just something you want to do during your time at UCLA, just post it here.
